Different site shapes

Most sites will be a regular site along a street, or a parcel of land.  Some sites have particular characteristics which present opportunities and challenge which deserve a bit more discussion.

  • A corner site can be on the inside or the outside of the corner.  Find out how to respond to your corner site.
  • Key lots are probably the least common type of site.  In areas where sites are hard to find key lots may be the answer.
  • Similarly, when sites are hard to find, a narrow site need not be overlooked and might provide the opportunity you're looking for
